Josh Gets his Cobia!!!
PM Fishing Report 7/17/13
Now this is a fish story! This kid names Josh lives down the street from me and ALWAYS asks me to take him Cobia fishing. Lord knows, he knows we getm. He stops every time we're cleaning fish downstairs. Sooooo, yesterday was his day. He never slept the night before after working graveyard shift at Food Lion, then was 30 minutes early, any charter guy knows 30 minutes is 2 hours in the AM : ). He was down for catching Specks at the P Cove bridge while I ran my 6 to 10 AM charter. He was ever so waiting at the dock at 10:00 sharp. We headed out of the inlet and landed on top of a pair of nice fish. Couldnt get either to go on Mr Wiggles, so we searched the tideline and soon hooked up to Josh's first Cobia! A 20 lbr at that! Who cares it wasnt 50 lbs. Its about seeing the bite : ). That kid sat at night, many nights, thinking of that fish and we got him 3. He cranked em all in too! This kid will have a rig in 5 years, watch. Fun Fun!
