Awesome Back Country Stuff!!
10/02/13 Fishing Report
Glad we went fishing today : ). Very glad I had the Mosely brothers along for an awesome bite! We started pretty good on some Grey Trout that were just shy to put in the cooler but were a blast to catch and nice to see the numbers around. We kept moving to the creeks, fishing the points on the way, scoring a few nice Specks, small Puppy Drum and Flounder. As we put the boat on plane to head to the shallow creek entrance, we spotted a school of Drum in the shallows and instantly stopped and bombed them with corks. We hooked 4 or 5 in a row, keeping 2. The day slowed down other than a nice 3 lb. Flounder to fit in the cooler. On our way back thru the creek, we found another gang of Redfish willing to play and found our 3rd nice keeper for the day. The fish were trying to eat the cork in front of the fish that was hooked and made an impressive boat side show : ). Thanks for an awesome day guys! Next May we will find the Cobia!!! Yew!!!
